Flash Delirium

Uniforms, puppets, eels and explosions.

That about sums up MGMT's new video for "Flash Delirium" off their upcoming album Celebration.

Like something out of a Tarantino film, this nonsensical video debuted yesterday on MGMT's official Web site, where you can also stream the new album in it's entirety.

I dig the quirkiness and originality of the video and can't wait to see these guys rock out at Coachella in only 17 days!

Harry Potter Opening Revealed

That's right, Universal Studios Orlando has finally announced that the grand opening of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be on June 18, 2010.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty stoked to see this baby once and for all. I'm predicting even longer, more ridiculous lines with screaming babies and sweaty European tourists.

Check it out here.

Top Flr

Dinner and drinks went down last night at Top Flr in the heart of midtown Atlanta. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood on Myrtle St. near Ponce de Leon Ave., this surprisingly affordable two-story restaurant offers an intimate yet upbeat atmosphere perfect for a date night or late dinner and drinks with friends.

Open later than most restaurants in the city, ('til 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 am on Mon - Thurs), Top Flr is the perfect place for a nightcap, complete with a DJ who starts spinning around 11pm on the first floor.

To begin, we entered one of the two bar areas on the lower level and sampled some extremely creative cocktails, including the Cynar Blood Orange Martini ($9) and my personal favorite, the Nature Boy ($9). Similar to a less-sweet version of the mojito, the Nature Boy was cool and refreshing, the perfect compliment to any dish. I must also mention the extreme patience and excellent service provided by the bartender, who happily answered our questions regarding the quirky concoctions on the menu.

Our next stop was up the staircase to the "Top Flr", where we were seated in the dimly lit dining room with simple black and white decor. Here, we began our meal with a generous helping of appetizers including Mussels soaked in Coconut Lime and Soy Broth (my favorite item of the night) ($9) and Pork Skewers with Cucumbers Daikon Salad and Spicy Thai Sauce ($8).

For the entrees, I split the Scallops with Sweet Potato Puree ($15) and the Ginger Crusted Salmon ($14) along with a side of Mac and Cheese ($6), complete with gouda and bread crumb topping.

Despite my temptation to order dessert, we decided to pass. I did, however, help myself to a glass of Riesling from the extensive four page wine selection.

All in all I walked away satisfied with the meal, the service, the prices and the intimate vibe. Although not the best meal in Atlanta, Top Flr is a great late night gem that I will definitely be visiting again. A big thanks to my friends Eric and Danielle for introducing me to this spot! If you plan on checking it out, be sure to call in and make reservations, as tables are not so easy to come by.

Lookin' Good Kelly O!

I was in complete awe when I came across these new photos of Kelly Osbourne. I loved them so much that I actually snapped these pics on my phone in order to post them. Those clothes! That figure! Needless to say she looks absolutely amazing and is now on my radar for future fashion inspiration. So here's to you Kelly Osbourne. Cheers!

Rude Boy

I can't seem to get this song out of my head lately, and the video is just as catchy.

In the colorful style of our beloved M.I.A., Rihanna steps up her game with her video for "Rude Boy".

No More Excuses

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's finally here. The day we stop making every excuse under the sun to avoid starting this blog, and actually get our act together.

We've thought for some time about what we should write, what would be interesting enough for everyone out there, and what would set this blog apart from all others like it.  We soon realized that this extremely paralyzing mentality was the very thing holding this baby back from it's debut to the world.

Thus, RiFF RAFF was born.

Intended to be an eclectic mashup of all things fashion, art, music, food, entertainment, lifestyle and leisure, RiFF RAFF will bring you inside the minds of two sisters who love life and all things beautiful and indulgent.

Please join us today in celebrating a very long overdue birthday :)
